This sequence provides a year of general chemistry for students majoring in most sciences, pre-pharmacy and chemical engineering.

Since prior completion of one of the following courses
is an institutional/departmental requirement for enrollment in CH 231, the chemistry department asks that all prospective students, both degree-seeking and non-degree seeking students, provide documentation verifying completion of the course prerequisites. The prerequisite override mechanism enables the department to accommodate students who have completed their prerequisites at another institution.
